These came from Roosterteeth (the guys that make red vs blue)....if you listen to their latest podcast, they share some of Gizmodo's "finer" moments.

What are the first two about...is the second one with the tv, did they shut off tv's with a universal remote at a press conference?

What was the Halo 3 press kit about?

It was a limited edition kit for press that halo fans would really love to get their hands on, and many would gladly buy.

But I think Gizmodo dropped it from very high to break it for page views.

I think it was CES. They went round turning off any tvs they could find, including ones people were using in presentations/demos etc.

Just did some follow up. They posted a video of the un-boxing, and apparently people got angry that he was not excited or something or just pissed they did not get anything. So as a professional press person...he threw it off a two story building. Dude should be fired for that alone for reacting to comments in such a illogical way. If a professional press person, or whatever the hell he wants to be called is reactant then he should find a different job.

Clarification:

Mr. Lam from gizmodo was given a very, very exclusive Halo 3 press kit during the pre-release hype. He did an unboxing video where he showed zero respect and literally threw the contents over his shoulder while unboxing. Fans got mad, so he made a response video where he threw the kit off a second story balcony, then gave away the ending to the game (He kept the $300+ limited edition xbox 360 though).

The CES thing was gizmodo going around CES '08 with a universal remote shutting off people's presentations/causing mayhem/etc.

And did anyone catch the youtube video? Roosterteeth makes some great live-action skits.
