Hello. i have sucsessfully jailbroken my ipod and would like to know how to change the root password so i can go out in publick with this thing and not be scared. please help me out. I have seached these fourms and google for a while and i can not find anything.

Ok. wat is the command to change that pass. I have heard it can be done in SSH but i dont know the command. i have an SSH session open now and any help would be great.

did u do everything correctly to sign in because after u initiate a connection it has a # then u type passwd and it will ask what u want to change it to
 
I am using a PC running windows. Also, i am using putty. I am typing passwd like this

passwd.

Am i suposed to be SSH'ing? am i suposed to have somthing installed on the ipod?
 
yeah ure supposed to be sshing but idk what the problem is cuz i did the same thing and it worked fine for me
 
O i think i solved the problem. is their suposed to be a conformation message when you log onto your ipod through SSh?
