Hi,
Does restoring my iPhone 4 (as new) reset the phone's root password (and mobile password) to alpine? or does that info survive a restore?

If I do restore as new, is there any trace at all of a jailbreak previously having been on there? I am taking it to Apple and obviously don't want them finding out.

Cheers.

The standard iTunes Restore (NOT just restoring an earlier backup!) restores absolutely the original state, including the root password. It'll become alpine.

Thanks.

So there is absolutely no way that Apple can find out that it was jailbroken if they have my restored (as new) iPhone?

Thanks guys.

Im sort of new to this forum. I know that on the Apple forums I am supposed to mark the thread as answered. Do I do the same here? If so, how?
