I think I have it figured out, if I purchase a new Mac with SL and have Appleworks documents, which I have a number as I have run Appleworks since OS 7 I can load AW and my documents into SL and it will tell me I have to open with Roseta. Is this correct?
I understand it will not open any apps that are in OS 9 or Classic but if they are in OSX they will. Is that correct?
I am using a iMac G3 at this time if that is important and am running OS 10.3 and Classic.

At this point I'd suggest you go to an apple store with a few of your AppleWorks documents on a thumb drive or burned CD and test them out on a new mac. The iWork suite, and it's applications, Pages, Numbers, and Keynote are AppleWorks' grandchildren. I would think/hope that Apple has built in the ability to open old AW files on the new software.
