hi. i currently use a G4/533--still running os 9.1, and i am thinking
seriously about getting a Mac Pro -w/at least 4 gig( i may buy
it with 1 or 2 gigs and install 2 gigs myself-as i plan to
edit in final cut pro on it).

i still use os9.1 b/c i like the programs.
my photoshop 3.5 has KPT plug ins which i love dearly.
and my claris homepage for my web construction.

i heard/read that once one upgrades a mac to 10.4 that one
can no longer run the os9.1 programs, or 10.3.9 programs.

but i just read that
with the new Rosetta and QuickTransit i will be able to
run programs i would've run in os10.3.9.(had i upgraded to that).

my question is what programs...how far back of my programs
will i be able to run with Rosetta and QuickTransit technology
on a mac pro?

will it run software programs that worked in os9.1?
how about software programs that worked in os7.5?

thanks,

[gs]
