I was using Rosetta Stone without a problem for over a month. Now when i try to start it up it freezes with the screen saying "Installing Updates". In the Console I get this message
"Rosetta Stone[73642] Warning once: This application, or a library it uses, is using NSQuickDrawView, which has been deprecated. Apps should cease use of QuickDraw and move to Quartz."

I tried to repair permissions but it changed nothing.
Any ideas?

Sounds more like a problem with the rosetta stone automatic upater than the NSQuickDrawView problem. The auto updater may use a bunch of PPC code choking the intel machines.

If you can download the entire updated version and install that it may work.

Of course using AppDelete and uninstalling Rosetta Stone and reinstalling may also work, along with disabling auto update in the Rosetta Stone preferences.

I got it! i went into macintosh HD>Library>Application Support>Rosetta Stone and deleted the "Updates" folder. Yay!
