I screwed it up this time. Fortunately only on one photo.
While trying to get my photos to show up in Finder right side up, I followed some directions to create a script here http://www.macosxautomation.com/services/learn/tut02/index.html
It worked sort of. The images, when viewed in Preview, were rotated but the image in Finder is now a generic jpeg icon.
I've seen numerous other threads here and elsewhere but can't seem to solve it.
Can anybody help?
