when I switch to mac few months ago, there is 10.6 "Snow Leopard" at my macbook. buttons have round corners, and that look cool !

now I have Lion, and everything is great, but buttons become more "windows style". Is it possible to set up buttons in more mac style, with round buttons ? maybe it is possible to edit some config files ?

Dude. They're just buttons. I guarantee they'll work just like the old rounded ones. :)

I'm more concerned with the tiny stop light icons now. :(

Apple has Windows 7 envy.

Macs have always had roundrect-shapedbuttons, but Windows Vista and 7 showed everyone just how awesome square buttons could be if given a proper glossy, blue-tinted look.

Lion still has rounded rectangle buttons. In fact, they're closer in shape to the buttons of Classic OS than to the buttons of W7 or previous iterations of OS X.

Yes. They seem to have been a bit inspired by Mac OS Classic. :)

Well, the corner radius is more like the Platinum buttons than the Aero ones, but much closer to the Windows ones than the Aqua capsules. And the shading is almost exactly the same as the Windows ones.

If anything, I think they bear a closer resemblance to the UI in Ubuntu. I think it looks refined and fresh!
