Router Help: Linksys vs Extreme?

Working with a Linksys router which really, hasn't given me any problems.
Got my wireless Linksys to both my iMac and MBP.

Anyone here go from a Linksys to an Extreme and glad they did?
Was there an improvement in either your wireless range or stronger signal?

I know I can also go the TC route but not sure I need a back drive.
I guess it doesn't hurt, right?

Since you are happy with your Linksys, there's no reason to spend the money on the Airport Extreme.

If you would feel a loss if all the data on your computers vanished, then you DO need a backup of some type. Cheapest route is to hang an external drive on the iMac and backup both computers to it.
