i own the Netgear RangeMax Dual Band Wireless-N Router WNDR3300.

http://www.amazon.com/RangeMax-WNDR3300-Dual-Wireless-N-Router/dp/B0017TFVUW

it was picked up from bestbuy- it came preset up. they gave us a password and name for it already. so you do not install the CD or set it up yourself.

now in the house we have an old dell plugged right into it, then we have a dell laptop that works on the 2.4GHz g speed, my ipod touch works on that too.

now i have the new 17" macbook pro and i want N speeds. however i am only getting G. when you look the the router only 2.4GHz blinks, which means it is in use. the 5GHz just stays solid and is not working.

any ideas on how i can get N speeds?
