Hi,

i have a cisco router currently setup to provide wifi to my household.
can i setup a second wireless router to provide as a guest wifi?

thanks

Yes, you can set up a second router, just make sure that it is on a different channel than the first one to prevent interference.

Some routers that have two antennas can do this already, like the Belkin Wireless N router that I have has the capability of setting up a guest wifi. I have never tried though
