Does anybody know how to make Rowmote control a black appleTV?

I've only done limited searching (I only got the appleTV over the weekend) but all the searches I've done tell how to use Patchstick Maker to control only the white apple TV but no info on how/if:confused: I can control my black appleTV with rowmote... It would be great:D if I could since the GUI keyboard via TV remote is antique and takes FOREVER to 'type' words to search.

There are other ways, yes.

First off, do you have an iPod Touch, iPad, or iPhone? Apple makes a remote app for it that works great.

Also, you can use your iTunes library as one. You just use airplay.
To use airplay, go to the bottom of the iTunes page when you are on your iTunes library, and on the bottom right of the page there should be a box with a arrow pointing upward under the box. Press that and click Apple TV... and then whatever you do on iTunes will go to your Apple TV.

Hope this helps! I love my Apple TV, there are still a lot of problems with it, and it needs some adjustments, but it's still a struggling and new product. It's been a hard company for anything to do- joining internet and TV together on a single device.

Rowmote will never work on the ATV2, unless it is completely rebuilt by the developer. Its made for Intell CPUs and a Mac OS X system, where as the ATV2 has an ARM CPU and a iOS system.

Search the in the App Store for Remote. Get the one made by Apple, then just follow the steps or Google how to link it with your Apple TV.

get the remote app on iphone 4

all you should need is the apple remote app from the app store

right, thanks users.. I assumed Rowmote was the way to do it since I've been using Rowmote for 2 years(a friend turned me onto it and I'd never used Remote before).
Now I know and it's all good :D
