Roxio Toast next release

I've been a past user of Roxio Toast, with the last release purchased being v6. I just received an offer for Toast 8 for half price ($50). Does anyone know their historical release cycle, and/or when v8 was released? I don't want to buy this, and find out that v9 comes out next month.
