For anyone who is interested in checking the status of their ATT iPhone order, I wrote a pretty simple script to check the status of an order given the store zip code and your purchase number.

If you have a receipt, the purchase number can be found by looking at the Order Number and taking off store ID which is stuck on to the beginning of it. The store ID tends to be printed on the top of the receipt.

http://www.nsb1.info/~bmichalski/iphone.php?zip=01040&po=9711 will give you a simple html page.

http://www.nsb1.info/~bmichalski/iphone.php?zip=01040&po=9711&rss=yes will give you RSS.

Make sure to change the zip code and purchase number in the URL to fit yours, instead of this random person I found.

Let me know if you're interested in getting the data in another format or something. I'd be happy to accommodate.

Tracking updates

It seems AT&T has disabled querying based on a specific order number, so I've updated the script to handle tracking based on your contact phone number or the mobile number for the iphone. Personally, I have luck with the contact phone number (I'm switching in from VZW), but I suspect existing customers may have luck with the mobile phone number option.

http://nsb1.info/~bmichalski/iphone.php?zip=01040&homenum=5551234567 <- For contact number [AT&T calls this the home number]

http://nsb1.info/~bmichalski/iphone.php?zip=01040&mdn=5551234567 <- For mobile number [I think mdn stands for Mobile Device Number].

Please update any bookmarks accordingly to stay up to date!

Thanks very much! It worked perfectly. :)
