I've been trying to start using an RSS reader more lately

I'm using Postino right now, but I may switch to Net News Wire (any opinions on the two apps?)

anyway, with Postino, I navigate with the internal browser to Macrumors homepage, and I click on RSS on the side panel. It gets added as a "new News Feed" on the side panel.

But today I noticed that it doesn't get updated with new articles. All my other ones do, like BBC news, Wired news ect.

I wonder why that is? Is Macrumors not fully RSS compatible?

thanks
:)

I would like to know if anybody could recommend a good, free RSS reader. I had one once, but I stopped using it and deleted it, and now I don't remember what it was called. I just downloaded Shrook, but I don't particularly like the layout.

Without A Doubt, NewsFire Is The Best RSS Reader. Go For It. It's Got Me Addicted.

I've since switched to NewsFire (which is $20), but I used Vienna for a long time with zero problems. It's an excellent option for a free reader, IMO.

You could also try out NetNewsWire Lite, but you'll be missing some key features of the "big" version.

I use Vienna, wanted to try NetNewsWire but the application is so offensive with its registration program that i deleted it straight away.

Edit: Ars has written a review of quite a few different RSS readers, however they didn't include Vienna

I agree with the past couple of posts. I LOVE Vienna. It's also free, which you can't beat. I tried NewsFire for a bit, just didn't end up liking it...maybe I got too used to Vienna...

Vienna and NewsFire take VERY different approaches to RSS, and it took me a long time to get everything setup in NewsFire the way I like and even longer to get used to the keyboard shortcuts (the Vienna keyboard shortcuts and taken almost directly from NNW).

Now I'm used to NF and switching back would be weird :)
