RT effects in FCP

Still learning FCP. It looks like, once I decrease the RT settings enough, any native effect will play in RT without render, although it may have to decrease both video resolution and frame rate. The decrease in video resolution is fine, but once the frame rate is reduced I can’t really tell what’s going on anymore. I’m working on a MBP. My question is, once I upgrade to a (six times as fast) Mac Pro, should I expect that I can view in RT most of the effects with at full 30fps (albeit with decreased image resolution)?
