Hey all,
I have been using a 13inch macbook/macbook pro for the past 4 years. I have been using a foam padded case with a zipper that fits into a backpack and this has worked fantastic I have never broken my computer when drooping my laptop or tossing my backpack around a bit. I have just ordered a 17inch macbook pro and will require a new case. I'm looking for something that is very padded and that can slide into the laptop compartment of a backpack. I would go for the g-form case but they don't make one for a 17in laptop so I was wondering if anyone could help me come up with a heavy padded or rugged case for my laptop.
thanks in advance!!

Get rid of your 17". They are stupid and unportable.

Seriously, what makes you say that? I have carried mine to class for 2 semesters on since I have owned the 17" unibody, and carried my 2006 Core 2 Duo for 3 years.

I use an Incase shell and use the Incase sleeve to put in my backpack. That should be more than plenty, but if you want a dedicated rugged case, look at Pelican.
