O2 is set to follow up its success with the iPhone in the UK by grabbing an exclusive deal to stock the device that gadget fans reckon is the closest thing to a real competitor to the Apple device, the Palm Pre.

OK so very early rumor but it's very plausible that O2 would want to carry the Pre when it arrives in the UK. I wonder what Apple's viewpoint would be on the matter and whether or not it will affect the O2's iPhone exclusivity if it does in fact run out in the near future as rumored.
 
O2 snatching the exclusivity to the Pre as well as iPhone for its 2 or so remaining years is GREAT...

It means that the demands on their data infrastructure are going to get worse so they're gonna have to roll out more network changes.

Might be bad short term in heavily smartphone populated areas but i think its interesting
