So pretty much every rumor I read about states that the new upcoming iPhone 5 could have a bigger 4" display (up from 3.5" on the iPhone 4).

So assuming Apple keeps the resolution the same, the bigger display would undoubtly feature a lower PPI (pixel per inch). This could move the PPI actually beneath the threshold of what can be considered a true Retina Display.

Would Apple ever actually do this? The Retina Display is pretty much the biggest new feature the iPhone 4 had going for it besides dual cameras and sporting a faster processor.

So what's your take here? Actually get rid of the Retina tag or increase the resolution to match the bigger display area, which could lead to fragmentation issues.
