The 2GB of RAM is what will make people want the upgrade. Apple knows how to get people to continuously upgrade. The average user upgrades every 2 years, but for users like us we will accept that 2GB with open arms and clenched hands. S iterations will always get some sort of spec bump, or camera bump, as well as new (possibly exclusive) features with iOS9. 2GB of RAM is pretty much a sure thing. Funny though how the iPhone is capable of being so remarkable and buttery smooth on just 1GB and with a dual core 1.4ghz cpu. At least in my experience. The 1GB in the iPhone 6 is enough to slaughter phones with double that or more.
