Posted this in the Lion forum but then I just remembered only visitors and not members really go there anymore
Started to get kernel panics recently on the girls late 2006 iMac with Lion when they play their flash based dressing up games on the web. I have the admin account and both their standard accounts are managed via parental controls.
To stop them bricking the x1600 requiring a strip down and logic board baking I need to run the macsfancontrol app on startup on both of their accounts with elevated privileges so I can use it to ramp up the fan speeds with the temperature triggered by the GPU diode temps instead.
I've done this before but I have brain fade about it - if anyone could jog my memory it would be much appreciated!
