DVD player can play them, but neither the DVD module or the Movie module in FrontRow can play them :(
 
that linked seemed down. I don't know if this relates, but a guy has a video of front row running on a mac mini here
 
I have done it too.

hi there i have too front row on my mac mini. works a wonder just like the real thing. everything works except the dvd player which im trying to figure out. its a bit like salling clicker but easier.
