How do I set up my Macbook to not loose Internet connection when closing the laptop? I mean I want to "fold it" and still be on the NET with all my applications running and not disconnecting from my open websites.
Thanks in advance.

I want to close the lid and not be disconnected from my streaming quotes (Java based) of the stock market via my broker's website. I don't get disconnected from the website, but the connection with the application that runs the quotes re-establishes itself and it takes about 20-30 sec. each time.

Solution is bolded and "embiggened".

You use an external monitor already? Or do you just want to close the lid and let the MacBook continue downloading? Because websites don't disappear by just letting the MB sleep (if that is what you are doing).
You can also try IsomniaX (found via one of those world wild wets).

I don't want to use external monitor. And InsominaX crashes my system, had to remove the program. Any other software/solutions you know of that might work?
