Hi all, wanted to know if running 'more space' 1920x1200 would have any performance affects on a 2018 rMBP? I prefer the extra real estate this resolution gives.

Yes but they are negligible. I ran my 2012 rMBP 15" in that resolution and it was negligible then.

When Apple dropped the 17 inch MBPs and I transitioned to the 15 inch model, I configured it for the same resolution I had been using on the 17 - 1920 X 1200. It was a bit smaller, but it worked well, though I do seem to have unusual eyesight for my age - no glasses for either near or far.

Saw no performance hit.

Which year?
It's noticeable on the 2012 while opening/closing the launchpad
