I have AT&T Uverse where the modem is also the wireless network site. Unfortunately, the way the box was set up is that it was mounted on a wall in my laundry room, so attaching a router directly to it is pretty much not an option.
What I'd like to do is use a network storage drive. I have a Dlink DIR-655 that has an active USB port. Would it be possible to put the DIR-655 somewhere in my house and connect my external HD directly to it, and have it pick up signal from my Uverse router?
I have a MBP with Snow Leopard.
Anyone know if this is possible and how?
