Hi there,

I'm running a server on VMWare fusion w/ Ubuntu right now. To access that server, I point my browser in the virtual machine to localhost:8000, or whatever I define my port to be.

How can I access that server from a browser in my mac? Does that make sense? Server in vmware, accessing server from mac - thanks!

Get the network IP address of the vmware instance and point it?

I'm sure there's a command (I know there is I just don't know it off hand) similar to C:> ipconfig /all

Use that IP address on your Mac.

Having trouble with this. I have a fresh install of RHEL in VMware fusion. Boots up and all is well. I use "ifconfig" to get the IP address. I set up a server on 8001 - works without issue when i do localhost:8001 - can't access it from a mac
help please!
