running an iphoto slideshow on second screen only?

Hello all,

I'd like to run a slideshow from iphoto on my secondary display while working like normal in my primary display. I thought Mavericks had the ability to do this? Currently, when I run an iphoto slideshow (on either display) it blacks out the other. Do I have something setup wrong? Thanks!
