macOS Running applescript when adding file to itunes

I have been trying to figure out how to run an applescript after I add a file into iTunes. More specifically, I'm adding .avi files into itunes via a folder action and itunes is putting a .avi onto whatever movie im putting in. I have an applescript that will remove the .avi, so I just need to have set it up to where after the file is added, the applescript runs. Thanks in advance for any help.

You could have that folder action call the AppleScript. Look to Automator.

I thought about doing that but I don't know how to make automator target the newly added file. Am I just skimming over it, or is there a roundabout way of doing it?
