Hey
I've got a few applications such as Firefox and Unison that i've downloaded from the net. I have an alias for each of them in my dock but after turning my mac on and trying to open them for the first time that day it has to "mount" them and then i get an icon on the desktop of a white drive looking type thing before i can use them. With unison though it comes up with a ? on the icon when i try to open it the first time and i have to find the .dmg file and mount it by double clicking that before i can open unison.
Is all this really necessary or am i doing something silly?? Its a bit of a pain having to do it and it makes the desktop look cluttered
Cheers!
