Dear Future Advice Giver,

Thank You for your help in your advance.

So I'm running Win7 via BootCamp (it's awesome). But a month ago, after running an update on my Mac side, my Mac will not go past the white screen at the initial bootup. I can get into my Windows, but not my Mac side.

So (x2), I went to the Mac shop to get a suggestion on what to do. The technician, I guesse he was, told me to reformat both the Mac and Windows with the disc that was sent to me with my MBP. This was the last alternative I wanted to go to.

BUT! I was wondering, if I can save time and just reformat the MAC side and keep my Windows side. According to him I have to reformat both, but I decided to come to the forums on the off chance I didn't have to go through that.

ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED>>>

Have you tried booting with the OS X disc and going through with the setup? It should show you the partitions available for install. If it shows you two, you should be able to select just the Mac partition and install there.
