I am using Runkeeper (for tracking everything but heart rate) and the AW Workout app (for heart rate). Anyone know if this will cause 'double counting' of steps etc?

I don't have my watch yet so this is pure speculation. I would say no because runkeeper should not be sending the step data to the iphone health app unless you can set it up to do that.

In your Health App on the iPhone you can chose the order of which App to use before another. It is default for :apple:Watch, iPhone and then 3ed party in order added. Go to Steps: Share Data: Data Sources.
