Running "lid closed" mode on iBook

Hello fellow macrumors people.

Recently i've added a Panasonic CRT to my setup running dual screen on my iBook G4 (latest rev.) Just wondering if it's safe to run lid closed mode on it. I know that it's capable (even though it's not supposed to be.) Would i run into severe problems if I did this as far as screen damage? I'm not sure if the heat comes through the keyboard and would create pixel problems. Hope you guys know the answer.

Hi, from what I've heard the ibook uses the keyboard area for ventilation, so closing it off while use the CPU and getting it hot will only lead to heartache.
