I'm going to be starting to record audio, Audio Units and loops on a PB G4, using Logic. Does anyone have any feedback as to optimal settings, latency issues, configuration problems, performance concerns, etc? I guess my main question is: what are the performance limitations, given what I have on hand:
Here's my info:
1.5 GHz PBG4, 2MB RAM, external FW800 hard drive for recording
Audio Instruments via Axiom 25 MIDI controller (USB) OR
Auido instruments and Audio via PreSonus FIREBOX (FW-400 connection) and Yamaha Digital Piano
Audio tracks will mainly be: electric and nylon guitars, electric upright bass, hand percussion and brushes on snare, harmonium via SF57 micriphone.
Auido Units: Garritan Personal Orchestra, Garritan Jazz Orechestra, Moog Modulator V, NI B4, Kirk Hunter Strings, Emerald.
Assorted Apple Loops (preconfigured with Logic) and Acid Loops
Any feedback as to use and implementation would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
