I'm thinking about purchasing Minecraft to play, and I'd like to know if it will run well on my MacBook Pro. I have never played the game before, so I don't know about all of the settings and stuff. Pretty much, will the game run decently well on a:

- Mid-2012 MacBook Pro 13"
- 16GB RAM
- SSD (512GB)
- Intel HD Graphics 4000, 1024MB

Does a trackpad work well for the game, or is a mouse required? I just want to know for if I'm on the go and want to play without a mouse. Also, is WASD the default control scheme, and is it possible to change to the arrow keys? Thanks!

If this is in the wrong forum, please do move it, mods.

Yes, it will run without a problem, just don't set the render distance too high and lock the FPS (the FPS lock is built-in) to a somewhat reasonable value, such as 50 FPS (to prevent it from crunching unnecessarily high FPS (and getting unnecessarily hot) when looking under your feet or at the sky).

Yes, the trackpad works, sometimes I play at school without a mouse and it's a bit slow and awkward (just as you would expect) but playable.

The default control scheme is WASD, but it's configurable.

tl;dr - Go for it.
