In my iMac (HighSierra) i have 3 accounts, one im using daily and the other 2 are used random or twice per 6months. I dont understand why apps seem to be running faster in the accounts that i dont use and in the account that i use daily things see so slow. Apps and internet browsing... what could this slowing down be caused from? Cant be just the cookies, im talking about apps here (Adobe CS etc.)

There is SOMETHING in your "main account" that is slowing things down.
Perhaps an extension (kext) or perhaps an application that has stuff going on in the background.

These things aren't "in" the alternate accounts, so... that's why they run faster.

THE PROBLEM is TRACKING DOWN what is "slowing you down" so you can get rid of whatever it is that is causing the problem. Not an easy task.

Something to try (you might have tried it already):
Reboot, and hold down the shift key as the OS loads.
This boots without extensions.
Doe it change anything?

1. An example on what can those extentions might be?
2. Can i use Activity Monitor to track down what ever is slowing me down?

Download something named "etrecheck".
It's free.
Run it and see what its report says.

What exactly is "etrecheck" for?
An exceedingly quick google search suggests it's a Mac application that tells you about potential problems on your computer, which would seem what this thread is about?
