Running the U2412M in Portrait on Mac?

Surprisingly I can't find any info on this online other than some vague statements suggesting it should work. On my Mini the options to switch between Portrait and Landscape modes on my Dell u2412m are greyed out.

Anyone know if it's possible to get this working on Mac OS?

I guess you use Mac OS X 10.7 Lion or OS X 10.8 Mountain Lion and thus do not have this option?

Actually running 10.8.2 but I do have those options in Displays panel. Just didn't think to check there...
