I wasn't able to get VirtualBox to work but it's early alpha testing version. Parallels works really well and I'm impressed with the performance. I haven't done benchmarks but it feels comparable to my i7-10700 desktop. I think that the home version is a one-time charge of $99 which seems reasonable to me. It is quick and easy to get up and running and it's fine for now that it is beta.

I ran Geekbench 5 on it with another heavy program running on the VM and it came in almost exactly the same on Single-Core and at about 55% on multicore. I only allocated 4 out of the 10 cores to the VM so it slightly outperforms the i7-10700 with something CPU intensive running. I will run it after that job is finished just to verify it - don't know if the multicore score will improve or not. It's very impressive that Windows runs this fast though.

VirtualBox is definitely beta; and Windows is as well. Of course none of this is officially supported. Okay for hobbyists but not for professional work.
Thanks. I read your comment as applying to Parallels.
Release versions of Windows 11 work in Parallels.
