Hi all, I wish I can run this program below on my MacBook Pro M1 with Winebottler but I’m afraid it would take up a lot of system resources and running my system slow?

My MacBook Pro M1 system specs are: 500gb storage, 16gb RAM. with M1 chip. It’s a 14 inch, but I do have an external monitor.

What do you think? Should it not be an issue?

When running this program, I usually do not run any other programs in the background. But this was on my Windows machine.

But not sure if my MacBook Pro running Winebottler can or not handle this.

I use my Years old WinSCP in Wine Bottled with no Problems, just try ( you can Quit ).

Also i have a Win11 Arm Install on the Free UTM VM for Arm and that Runs very fast with also no Problems.

Thanks I’ll try it.

But I find it strange that the developers of this program has it supported on the iPad but not for the MacOS.

If the iPad can support it, I would not see an issue running it virtually with Winebottler.

For the record, if the 16GB are correct your MacBook Pro is either a 13" with an M1 chip or a 14" with an M1 Pro. There is no 14" with the M1.

Sorry… yes it’s this, just double checked from the store I ordered it from and this is what I have with the 16gb RAM.

Hm, since you have M1 it may be possible to install and run iPad application. Check in Apple store if it lets you install it. Authors have to enable that. I suspect that you computer is overkill for anything Garmin makes, if you can make it work. Windows virtualization will be more of issue that Garmin software.
