Running Windows from an external drive

hiya guys,

To reduce space required on SSD can i have the windows image located on an external drive and will this work fine in bootcamp or via parallels? the drive will be fw800

hmm this doesnt really look overly simple =( ...

how about if i dnt use bootcamp and only use parallels - any easier?

Yes it will work, i would recommend fw 800, i have booted windows from it and it works great.

i assume the reason it works is because its using firewire and not usb?

this is fantastic news...and you can confirm it allows u to boot direct into windows when plugging the drive in and also run parallels?

when not connected to the firewire... i assume no issues arise? just dont open up parallels?
