Running Windows from Externally Connected Drive

Hi

I have an internal hard drive that was pulled from my deceased PC. It has windows installed and I wanted to know if I could use it with either Boot Camp and/or VMWare Fusion. I am currently tethering the drive using a USB hard drive adaptor. If this can be done, could someone walk me through the steps?

Ditch the crappy USB connection and use firewire instead.

I have done a similar old windows booted on Mac using Parallels.

All I did was follow the wizard from Parallels and it found the windows install and then booted it, installed all its drivers etc and it worked fine.
