First run with the AirPods Pro 3. While I was running, I bumped into a friend, so I paused the music and switched to Transparency Mode. I noticed an annoying tapping sound with every step, like a “tak-tak.” I can’t remember if this also happened with the AirPods Pro 2, but I ended up taking them off so I could properly hear my friend while we were running. Have you experienced this with yours as well?

I have noticed this as well. I remember there was an issue with APP2 and Apple had to replace affected AirPods, of which mine were one of those replaced by Apple.

You noticed this at airpods 3 pro? Or you still have the pro 2?
I don't know if it a software problem.

Same for me. Left side is tapping sound. Don't know if they're broken or if it is something related to fitting?

assembled in china?
i dont think that there are so many broken devices... hope to be a software problem and not hardware problem

I have the APP3 and noticed the same issue while running that you outlined in your post. Additionally, I had the APP2’s and my set was replaced because of the (I believe) vent issue that was causing them to (if I remember correctly) rattle.

However, it doesn’t appear to be an issue with the APP3’s themselves, because the issue seemingly goes away after adjusting them in my ear; so that leads me to believe the tapping is being caused by the interaction of the APP3’s in my ear canal, as they do travel further in the ear.

I tried again today,on the left the annoying sound is more loud than the right...i tried to adjust them but the same sound volume continues..i will visit service tomorrow..

I have a tapping sound sometimes which is the silicone ear piece moving inside ear canal and goes away when inserting them more deeply so the skin doesn’t touch/untouch the silicon earpiece….

I get the tapping sound while running after most audio alerts (e.g., after mile splits or segments). I can’t tell if it’s a hardware issue or software issue.

Exactly the same, only the left one. But it doesn't happen all the time, only from time to time while running.
I hope it's just a software issue and I won't have to replace them.
Assembled in?
I am waiting the reply from the service centre as we dont have apple store in Greece.
