I agree, even if the luxury market could afford this Watch, it’s still a piece of electronics who was barely usable only after 3-4 years, to the contrary of luxury Watches that can hold decades. The Hermes series is a better spot for this market, and the pricing is more reasonable. Even if Hermes is the most expensive Apple Watch, Apple Watch is still the cheapest watch that Hermes sells, which means something regarding value and durability.Basically a laughable attempt by apple to enter luxury market where stuff usually preserves their utility just as good as their value - very well, and Apple Watch gold edition is not one of those.
IMHO that was „simply“ a publicity stunt and I guess it worked, since people are still talking about it 😉Basically a laughable attempt by apple to enter luxury market where stuff usually preserves their utility just as good as their value - very well, and Apple Watch gold edition is not one of those.

Yeah for sure. They also liquidated the supply selling them in Japan for $700. There's got to be a large amount that are still mint, unopened out thereEven though I think it is bloody crazy for someone to have bought one of these when they came out, they will probably fetch 3x the amount 20 years from now.
