I bought the S10 in Jet Black about a month ago. My normal use-case is the gym; I keep track of my workouts on OneNote and listen to music all on my watch so I don't have to carry my iPhone around.

Something that is really bothering me is that the new S10 sits too flat on the wrist compared to the previous designs. It sits so flat against my wrist that the crown gets stuck. I need to access the crown regularly to control music volume and to do so, I have to angle my wrist forward. This is more noticeable when working out and blood is flowing.

I've come across some others pointing to how the crown is getting stuck on their AW but not necessarily in the gym setting. Anyone else have this problem? I bought the watch through Amazon and I'm not sure what my recourse is. Amazon will not take it back. Will Apple take it and give me store credit?

You're likely wearing it too close to your wrist. The watch should be above your wrist bone

I don't think it's because I've wearing it too tightly. I have both the sport band (standard) and sport loop and it's happening on both. And wearing it closer to the normal position near the wrist bone actually feels better, as in easier for the crown to turn. I think it's the running or exercising part.

Edit: The sport band is actually difficult to get right in terms of fit. But this not withstanding, I never had this issue with my S5, S7 or S9.

Did you try flipping the watch, so the crown is on the side not facing your wrist? To do that, set watch orientation to the wrist you aren't wearing it on. Like, if you are wearing it on your left wrist, set orientation to right.

I started getting this with the S10. Turns out it was hair getting caught as it's lower, lifting the watch away from wrist and crown turned freely.
I pulled out hairs in that area and the problem went.
Might not be your issue but worth a look.
