Has anyone else noticed that the vibration/notification seems weaker on the S2 than the S1? Is it just me? I never used to miss notifications with my S1 and on the S2, I barely notice it and have even missed some calls because I don't notice it until it's too late.

Series 1 or series 0?

Both series 1 and series 2 are new as of Sept. 2016. The original Apple Watch is often referred to as "series 0" since it's quicker than typing out "original 2015 Apple Watch".

The haptic on my S2 SS is notably weaker than the one in my old S0 Sport, but this is known.

Got all GoT for a moment there.

Known as in it's a change in design or many people have noticed it?
I did go from Aluminum to stainless so that might be a factor.

Well I'd read previously from several reports (Gruber, Snell, forumites) that the haptic was stronger on the S0 Alu Sport than the S0 SS. Previously had to take their word for it as I only had experience of my S0 38mm Sport. Got a S2 42mm SS and immediately noticed it's a little weaker than my old Sport.

Must be casing related, much like how the screen is brighter on S0 Ion-X than on S0 sapphire. Don't know if that still applies to S2 though.

I haven't really noticed a difference - thought it to be the exact same level of vibration
