Hi to all,

I've always been considered an Apple fanboy, especially in the early days when I was heavily invested in iPhones, iPads, and MacBook Airs during the 2010s. However, over time, I started exploring Android devices, particularly with the advent of foldable phones. For the past two years, I've been using various Android phones, including foldables, and currently, I have an S25 Ultra.

At the end of last year, I bought a MacBook Pro M4, which is probably one of the best computers I've ever owned. I also have an iPad Pro M4, which is fantastic. Since I find my phone's screen a bit small for watching videos, I'm currently testing an iPad mini and the iPod Pro 2 as I have lost my previous buds during a trip. They work well between the iPad and the MacBook, and surprisingly, they also pair nicely with the Samsung.

I'm deeply integrated into the Apple ecosystem again, but I don't have an iPhone, and it feels like something is missing to connect all these devices. Two things concern me: the last time I had an iPhone, I got bored with it quickly. I'm always tempted by new things, especially foldable phones, and if a reasonably priced foldable iPhone ever comes out, I'd be tempted.

The second concern is the watch. Historically, moving away from Android meant losing the Apple Watch, especially the Apple Watch Ultra, as there are few Android equivalents. However, for the past few months, I've been using the OnePlus Watch 3, which has an incredible battery life, lasting 4-5 days without needing a recharge, even overnight. It's also quite stylish, and with a leather strap, it looks quite dressy, which is great since I often wear suits.

Yes, the Apple Watch Ultra would be better integrated and have more features, but its battery life is significantly inferior to the OnePlus, and in terms of style, it's less attractive. Although there are more strap options for Apple Watches compared to Android watches, and some look very nice.

All in all, I'm contemplating whether to test an iPhone alongside my Samsung for at least 15 days to get a feel for it. I do appreciate Android's notifications and multitasking capabilities (although multitasking worked better on the Fold than on the S25 Ultra given the screen size). I'm worried about feeling a bit frustrated, but I think an iPhone could be the glue that ties all my Apple devices together.

What do you think? Should I give the iPhone another shot? Thanks for your thoughts!

You spelled it out pretty well. Both ecosystems have their good and bad. Using a mix, as you are, is certainly doable. Tying it all together, for me, is a step above. I have gone back and forth since the beginning of smartphones. I’m done. I’m all in on Apple and it’s very satisfying. Nothing is perfect but it fits my needs best.
I would try it. As you say you have 15 days to decide.
