so I’m thinking of picking up the SS AW S3 and will be using It mainly for working out.

My question is... I will be running the sports App, Apple Music and have Cell turned on at the same time. My gym sessions last about 1 hour, what will this do to my battery life? Will it still last the rest of the day when I’m no longer using these 3 functions?

Also while I’m here, I had the OG AW for a few weeks and multitasking going in and out of that terrible round menu system was clunky and slow. Can you now actually get between 2 apps without that terrible menu?

You should expect your watch to last up to 18 hours. Your watch does not really multitask but allows apps to run in the background while you have a single app running in the foreground.

When you make or receive a LTE call, the phone app runs in the foreground for the duration of each individual call, you don't have an option to send it to the background.

You can select multiple apps to stay in the "Dock", which appears when you push the side button. You can select specific apps or allow the dock to show recently used apps. The round menu you mention would only be needed to select an app that you don't keep in the dock or have not used recently. Also you can configure the application cloud to be an alphanumeric list or re-arrange the cloud to favor your "favorite" applications.

My problem with this answer and the reason i asked my question is using streaming music over LTE like Apple Music or iTune sin the cloud, the battery may only last a few hours.

Up to 7 hours streaming playlist with LTE*
Up to 5 hours streaming live radio with LTE*

Up to 10 hours playback from (local) Apple Watch storage

*Apple Music LTE streaming tested in October 2017 with a playlist and Beats 1 using the default cellular streaming quality setting. Battery life varies by use, configuration, cellular network, signal strength, streaming quality settings, and many other factors; actual results will vary.

*Tested with music playback from Apple Watch via Bluetooth. Testing conducted by Apple in August 2017 using preproduction Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS) and Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular), each paired with an iPhone; all devices tested with pre-release software.
