S3 LTE fully drained overnight - Why?

I've had great luck with the battery life of both my S2 and now my S3 LTE. Could go 2 days without needing to recharge. Somehow, my S3 slipped off the charging puck (I use a TwelveSouth HiRise stand), and this AM was fully discharged. Is there any reason why it would have fully discharged? The only thing I can think of is perhaps the proximity to the charging puck, because it otherwise would have been 75% charged when I first put it on. Hopefully a one-time issue, but it was odd.
