Is the side button (circular crown) a real button or just a hepatic feedback button on the series 7?

Eh, not sure what you are asking. But it certainly functions as a "button" and it has haptic feedback. Meaning one crown press brings up apps, I think two crown presses bring up last-used app, press and hold = Siri, etc. So I think that qualifies as a "button." And haptic feedback as well, for example when scrolling through apps, it "clicks" with haptic feedback. Has worked flawlessly for me thus far.

Orangeman13 is asking if it's a button that physically clicks, or a button that uses haptic feedback to make it feel like it clicks (much like the home button on the iPhone 7 or 8).

I can confirm the button on the watch is a physical button that move/clicks. If you turn the watch off, it still clicks when pressed. (The home button on the iPhone 7 or 8 does not click when it's off.)
