Today I went in to the Apple store because my new 4G iPod nano's hold button wasn't working. It just stopped working out of nowhere. So I decide I should go to the Apple store here in Sacramento without first making an Appointment. I think nothing of it really, being a Tuesday at 12 noon I should be able to just walk up to the genius, right? WRONG.
The store was literally exploding with people. I walk up to the concierge and she tells me the next available appointment is at 2:30, so I agree and she schedules me. I go shopping for a bit and come back at 2:10 to check in. I wait around in the store for a while and I don't get called up to the genius until about 3:20. (This isn't relevant, but the genius told me I had to return it to the Store where I bought it because they don't have refurbs on hand to give out because it's such a new iPod.
)
Anyway, this is a pretty big metropolitan area with about 2 million people. For those of you who are familiar with this area have you noticed this with the Apple store as well? It's like this every time I go visit the Apple store. I think it's time for a new store (or two) - Roseville and Downtown would be perfect places for new stores IMO. Apple is getting way too popular and to relieve the stress on our one single store in this area they should consider making a new one.
Any way we can suggest new stores to Apple?
