Ok, so I really loved my generic Lifeproof case I had on my 4S. It was 10$ and again, a Lifeproof knock off, but it covered all the ports and kept the "pocket lint" out of speaker grilles/earpiece, etc. It actually was waterproof (tested it without phone), but I really used it as a 'just in case' type thing.
I'm sure certain case companies are trying to figure out a way to make a waterproof case for the 5S...but I'm wondering...
Could I simply get a Lifeproof case for the iPhone 5, and just not use the fingerprint to unlock? Basically, I'm asking because since the home button is redesigned and a little different (ring around button), I wonder if the Lifeproof case (the home button area specifically) will still be operational with the new home button.
I guess only people who have experience with the Lifeproof could answer this. I am willing to give up the FP to unlock, to have a waterproof case, I'm just trying to figure out if it would work with the new home button?
